Testing
NFSI supports food testing across different food value chains by providing guidance on sampling protocols, identifying reliable and affordable testing methods, facilitate access to our partnering accredited laboratories and interpretation of results. Through these services, we help food enterprises, regulators and policy makers make informed decisions to ensure compliance to food safety and quality regulatory requirements.
Food Testing methods
Our Institute develops and validates food testing methods that ensure accurate, reliable, and fit-for-purpose detection of food hazards and quality parameters. We support the adaptation of internationally recognized methods and the development of context-appropriate analytical, rapid, and screening methods for use across laboratories, production sites, and field settings.
Food testing kits
Our Institute supports the development and adoption of reliable, affordable, and easy-to-use food testing kits that enable on-site, field-based, and decentralized detection of food safety and quality hazards. These kits are designed to support producers, processors, traders, laboratories, regulators, and consumers in verifying food safety and quality across the value chain.
We promote innovative testing kits that provide accurate, cost-effective screening to support timely decision-making, compliance, and public health protection. We can develop kits that test for aflatoxins, pesticide residues, microbial contamination, food adulteration, and environmental hygiene.
