NFSI conducts applied research to enhance the productivity, safety, quality, and competitiveness of agrifood value chains. We analyze different agrifood value chains, from production through marketing and consumption, identifying constraints and opportunities for enhancing productivity, safety, quality, and competitiveness. Our work includes:
Assessing post-harvest and processing practices
Conducting market and trade studies
Designing innovations that enhance competitiveness, efficiency of operation and reduce food losses
Provide policy insights and build stakeholder capacity to adopt best practices, ensuring efficient, safe, and sustainable value chains
